Ajinomoto Co., Inc. is a Japanese food and biotechnology corporation which produces seasonings, cooking oils, frozen foods, beverage, sweeteners, amino acids, and pharmaceuticals. AJI-NO-MOTO "essence of taste" is the trade name for the company's original monosodium glutamate (MSG) product. The corporation's head office is located in Chūō, Tokyo. As of 2019, Ajinomoto operates in 35 countries and employs an estimated 34,504 people. Its yearly revenue in 2018 is around US$10.2 billion.

On September 2015 a customer wrote a review for Amazon about how Ajinomoto products sucks: Bought this and thought that the medical negative reviews were overblown. Then came across articles that stated you really shouldn't use this. Not believing everything I read, have decided not to err on the side of caution. Life lesson?

"I placed an order as a new customer and that same night which was a day before labor day I realized I ordered the wrong thing so I reached out to them on facebook as well as email right after. The manager Anthony gave me a really dry there's nothing we can do response the next day and said the order has already shipped. I never even got an email saying it shipped. No matter how good a product is , good customer service goes a long way. Won't recommend this company to anyone."

"Its most unfair to mail suppliments without an expiry date. I purchased th chondroitin sulfate in powder form which is a very expensive suppliment. It has only the manufacter date. No expiry date. I will be returning the supplinent."

"clumps, does not dissolve. not fresh. mailed me numerous products manufactures date of 2014 very dissatisfied. company relying on manuf dates and their verbal assurance of 3 year shelf life, instead of doing the testing required to stamp true expiration date on products."
